Systems Protection's Fire Protection product line is widely recognized as the leader in this segment, passing stringent SAE requirements and assisting global hose manufacturers in meeting the rigorous flammability standards of the jet engine industry. Designed using high temperature coatings and mineral fibers, this product line also includes sleeves which provide thermal insulation properties for use in harsh temperature environments. Available in both tubular and wrappable constructions, these products are used in a wide range of industries from automotive and railway to steel mills and construction equipment.
In case of a fire event and the increase in temperature associated, the electric function must be maintained as long as possible as cables experience a fast and sharp reduction in the resistance of isolation and a loss of conductivity impacts both power and data transmission cabling systems. Fire events also trigger cut through of tubing and hoses, thus generating a thermal runaway mode increasing flame propagation.

Product Spotlight: FyreJacket® Aerospace
FyreJacket® Aerospace is a thickwall braided fiberglass sleeving coated with specially compounded silicone rubber. FyreJacket is intended to slide on easily over a variety of hoses and expand readily to go over fittings and couplings. The specially formulated silicone rubber coating has excellent shedding properties.
FyreJacket is used to protect hoses and hose assemblies, tubing, piping, and cables from exposure up to +260°C (+500°F) and from molten splash and welding sparks. Aerospace grade FyreJacket will withstand short term flame exposure to +1093°C (+2000°F) when installed on a hose assembly qualified to SAE Aerospace Standard 1055.
