  • Product Description
    Protexx-Shield® 2640 is a thin, flexible, highly efficient thermal and flame barrier specifically designed as anti-propagation protection within EV battery pack. Product is a highly engineered composite structure that provides functionality as a flame barrier and provides thermal insulation and electrical insulation. The composite structure allows for clean parts reducing any risk of contamination. Material is available with flame resistant pressure sensitive adhesive to allow for direct application onto a variety of surfaces.

    Protexx-Shield 2640 is constructed of multiple layers of materials including an innovative flame barrier technology that activates during a thermal runaway event to stop flame penetration while additional layers provide insulation. This unique construction ensures excellent protection against potential thermal runaway event.
