  • Product Description
    Protexx-Shield® 4300 is a fully engineered solution for muli-function protection at battery cell level in EV battery pack. Product features include highly efficient thermal barrier specifically designed as anti-propagation protection within EV battery pack; a highly engineered thermal insulation barrier partnered with customized compression control pad. Product is a fully engineered composite that provides flame barrier, thermal insulation, cell swelling management and electrical insulation for life of the battery pack. In case of thermal runaway condition product acts as an anti-progation protector. The encapsulation of this composite structure allows for clean parts reducing any risk of contamination.

    Protexx-Shield 4300 is constructed of three functional layers to delivery required end application performance with full encapsulation for cleanliness. These layers include coated high temperature mineral fiber thermal barrier, a high temperature mineral fiber themal insualtor, a highly engineered polyurthane foam and a thermplastic encapsulation film. Each layer of the composite structure is fine tuned to end application requirements.

    Protexx-Shield 4300 is available in customized geometries and can be provided with customized labeling to provide part traceability.
